Popular ball and fireworks at the Town Hall Park
Every July 14th, Chilly-Mazarin celebrates the National Day with a popular ball hosted by the Live One orchestra and a spectacular fireworks display at 11:30 PM. Organized at the Town Hall Park, this free evening brings residents together around live music and food stalls run by local associations.
Each year, the municipality of Chilly-Mazarin carefully orchestrates the July 14th festivities, offering its residents a festive, free, and popular evening in the heart of the town. This republican event unites all generations around the values of liberty and fraternity that form our national identity.
The festivities take place at the Town Hall Park, Avenue de Carlet. This magnificent green space in the heart of the town transforms every July 14th into a large open-air stage, welcoming thousands of Chilly-Mazarin residents in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Families settle on the lawns from 8 PM to enjoy this unique evening.
The evening is hosted by the Live One orchestra, whose eclectic repertoire mixes French and international hits, funk, rock, disco, and current tunes. This professional orchestra knows how to get a crowd moving and transform the park's esplanade into a huge dance floor. Festival-goers dance through slow dances, tangos, and rock songs until the grand pyrotechnic finale.
At 11:30 PM, the Chilly-Mazarin sky lights up with a choreographed fireworks display that beautifully concludes the evening. Multicolored bursts follow one another for several minutes, offering a striking visual spectacle visible from across the park and surrounding neighborhoods. This moment remains the highlight of the national celebration.
Food and drink stalls are run by the local associations EFAPO, the Mazarinettes, and Le Petit Glacier, allowing attendees to eat and drink throughout the evening. These stalls are also an opportunity to support the vibrant local associative life in the town.
A town of nearly 19,000 inhabitants integrated into the Paris-Saclay community, Chilly-Mazarin cultivates a strong attachment to its traditions while being part of the Grand Paris dynamic. The National Day is always an opportunity to strengthen social bonds and share a moment of collective republican pride.
