Nect'Art de Mots: The celebration of words by the Azure lake
Led by the estanqu'Arts association, the Nect'Art de Mots festival transforms the village of Azur and its lake shores into a place of celebration for written, spoken, told, and sung words every year. This cultural and literary event, marking the opening of the summer season, has become a popular gathering for lovers of literature, graphic arts, and performing arts in the Landes.
A temporary village of books and words

The Nect'Art de Mots festival offers a full day of activities starting at 10 am:
- Exhibitions: calligraphy, illustration, illumination, and book crafts in the Salle François Mitterrand
- Creative workshops for children and adults: introduction to calligraphy, illumination, drawing, and creative writing
- Young audience shows: two storytelling and theater shows for children
- Storytelling and poetry: tales and readings by storytellers and poets throughout the day
- Musical strolls: itinerant musicians wandering through the alleys of the temporary village (accordion, guitar, singing)
- Concerts: musical performances blending poetry and songs
- Literary encounters: discussions with the authors and publishers present
An enchanting lakeside setting
The Azure lake, nestled between pine forests and sandy beaches, offers an idyllic natural setting for the festival. Visitors can enjoy cultural activities while strolling by the water, in an atmosphere of serenity and discovery.
The estanqu'Arts association
The estanqu'Arts association, based in Azur, is the creative and organizational driving force behind the festival. Composed of enthusiasts of literature, visual arts, and performing arts, it works throughout the year to promote culture and arts in the south of the Landes. The festival's name, a contraction of nectar and art, evokes the delicious pleasure of words, like honey savored by eye and ear.
