The Night Market of Azay-le-Rideau is one of the most popular summer events in Touraine. Located in the town center, at the gates of the famous UNESCO World Heritage Renaissance castle, this market offers an exceptional setting for an outdoor summer evening.

More than 50 exhibitors

Each evening brings together more than 50 exhibitors: craft artisans, creators, local producers, and merchants. You can find handmade jewelry, ceramics, textiles, leather goods, decorative items, as well as local Touraine products: goat cheeses, honey, jams, local appellation wines (Azay-le-Rideau, Chinon, Touraine), rillettes, rillons, and other specialties.

Tastings and dining

The night market is also a time for tastings and dining. Visitors can sit outdoors to enjoy dishes prepared on-site, taste producers' specialties, and discover wines from the Indre valley. The Azay-le-Rideau appellation, known for its crisp whites and delicate rosés, is naturally featured.

Entertainment and children's area

Musical entertainment accompanies each evening, creating a festive and relaxed atmosphere. A children's area is set up on the church esplanade, offering games and activities for the youngest, making this market a true family event.

Three summer events

The night market is held on three Friday evenings during the summer, spaced out from July to August, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the summer season. The evenings start at 5 PM and continue until midnight, offering long hours of strolling and discovery under the Touraine stars.

Easy access and free parking

The castle parking lot is available free of charge from 5 PM on market evenings, facilitating access to the town center. This initiative demonstrates the town's commitment to making this event accessible and welcoming for all visitors, whether they are locals or passing tourists.
