Pionnat dans la Rue is a street arts festival organized by the association Le Theatre qu'on Braille in the commune of Pionnat, in Creuse. Created in 2021, this family-friendly and local festival offers several days of open-air theatre, circus, dance, and music performances, as well as artistic practice workshops and an experimental laboratory. Pionnat dans la Rue is an open-air performing arts festival that enlivens the commune of Pionnat, in the heart of Creuse, every summer. Supported by the association Le Theatre qu'on Braille, founded in 2015 in southern Creuse, the festival offers four days of theatre, circus, dance, and music in the village streets and public spaces.

A rich and participatory program

Each day is structured around a dense program: opening to the public at 2 p.m. with the first announcement, performances and open stages in the afternoon, an artistic laboratory (JAM) at 8 p.m., a dance, theatre, or circus performance at 9 p.m., and concerts to close the evening at 10 p.m. Artistic practice workshops are also offered to the public.

Strong values rooted in the territory

The festival is committed to a zero waste approach, favoring local products and short circuits: beer and lemonade from the local brewery La 23, apple juice from Jardins de la Saintary. The spirit of community, meeting, and conviviality is at the heart of each edition.
