Festival of street arts in northern Ardèche
Quelques P'Arts, National Center for Street Arts and Public Space, was born from a project initiated by Palmira Picon within the MJC of Annonay in 1988. Located in Boulieu-lès-Annonay, in the heart of northern Ardèche, this place of creation and diffusion has developed a unique artistic and cultural dynamic around street arts, irrigating a rural territory across five departments: Ardèche, Loire, Drôme, Isère, and Rhône.
Every year in September, Quelques P'Arts' flagship event — Le Temps Fort — transforms the squares, streets, and landscapes of several towns into open-air stages. For three days, national and international companies take over Annonay, Boulieu-lès-Annonay, Peaugres, Vernosc-lès-Annonay, and Villevocance to offer a rich and diverse program: street theater, dance, circus, music, fanfares, puppets, mime, and poetic parades.
The program of Le Temps Fort is distinguished by its artistic rigor and its ability to address societal issues — politics, ecology, equality, economy — through spectacular forms accessible to all. The invited companies transform words into poetry, the body into movement, and public space into a place of sharing. Each edition offers about ten different shows, some of which are free access and others require booking, in formats ranging from intimate performances to large collective parades.
Beyond Le Temps Fort, Quelques P'Arts conducts a season of performances throughout the year across the territory, creation residencies hosting artists in public spaces, and cultural mediation actions with residents. The National Center actively participates in the Ardèche Terre d'Artistes network and contributes to making northern Ardèche a benchmark territory for street arts in France.
The Le Temps Fort of Quelques P'Arts returns in September 2026 for a new weekend of street performances in the towns of northern Ardèche. As every year, about ten companies will take over the streets and squares of Annonay and the surrounding towns to offer a program mixing street theater, dance, circus, music, puppets, and parades.
The precise dates and program will be announced in the summer of 2026. Check the official website of Quelques P'Arts for the latest information.
