Classical music season in Erquy, young talents from national conservatories and garden concerts
R'Classique is a classical music season organized by the town of Erquy, in Côtes-d'Armor. Launched in summer 2023, this program is dedicated to young talents of French music. In partnership with the associations Musiques Rive Gauche and Jeunes Talents, it offers recitals performed by artists from the national superior conservatories of music in Paris and Lyon. Concerts take place in several locations in Erquy — the Ancre des Mots hall, Stella Maris park, as well as private gardens exceptionally open to the public — to offer an intimate setting and bring classical music into the heart of the commune.
R'Classique is a classical music season born in 2023 at the initiative of the town of Erquy, a seaside resort on Cap d'Erquy in Côtes-d'Armor. The program is designed to bring classical music to a new audience, without neglecting enthusiasts, and fosters a dialogue between classical, baroque, and even jazz repertoires depending on the editions.
The program highlights young talents from the National Superior Conservatories of Music in Paris and Lyon, in partnership with the associations Musiques Rive Gauche and Jeunes Talents. Piano, cello, archlute, saxophone, guitar, chamber music, and even a jazz brass band to close the season: R'Classique offers a varied panorama of repertoires, performed by promising artists at the beginning of their professional careers.
Concerts are mainly held at l'Ancre des Mots, Erquy's communal hall, and at Stella Maris park. The program is also enriched by concerts in private gardens — some properties in the town center and hamlets of Erquy are exceptionally open to the public for these intimate gatherings. Over the seasons, R'Classique thus contributes to enriching Erquy's cultural offer alongside the commune's other musical events.
4th edition of R'Classique in Erquy: from March 27 to June 26, 2026, seven classical music events (and a jazz concert to conclude) featuring young talents from national conservatories, at L'Ancre des Mots, Stella Maris park, and in private gardens of the commune.
R'Classique returns for its 4th edition from March 27 to June 26, 2026 in Erquy. The 2026 program, proposed by the Erquy Town Hall in partnership with Musiques Rive Gauche and Jeunes Talents, combines four recitals at L'Ancre des Mots and Stella Maris park, as well as three concerts in private gardens of the commune.
From Rudy Gatti (piano, Mozart-Schubert-Debussy-Liszt program) to the Rance River Band (New Orleans-style brass band), including the Duo I Sognatori (archlute and baroque and piccolo cellos) and the Duo Métis (saxophone and guitar, French-Spanish-Argentine journey), the season offers a varied panorama of classical and baroque repertoire, with a jazz opening to conclude.
Three gardens in the town center and hamlets of Erquy exceptionally open to the public for intimate events in April, May, and June 2026. An original formula that brings music closer to the residents.
