Festive day of hiking between the Monts du Cantal and the Aubrac plateau
Every first Saturday of June, Rand'Aubrac offers a festive day of hiking starting from Chaudes-Aigues, crossing the magnificent landscapes of Cantal and Aubrac to Saint-Urcize. Organized by the association Le Grand Parcours, this event offers several routes from 15 to 22 km with refreshments and musical entertainment along the trails. Upon arrival, an outdoor meal featuring aligot and sausage brings together hikers and guests in a festive atmosphere. A celebration of the territory and its inhabitants for over 25 years.
The association Le Grand Parcours has been working for over 25 years to promote and enhance the Aubrac and Monts du Cantal territories through numerous sporting and cultural events in both summer and winter. Over the decades, the association has contributed to the development of hiking infrastructure: the Sentier des Espagnols, the Gorges du Bès climbing site, the Chaudes-Aigues mining trail, and in partnership with the Saint-Urcize ski club, the Aubrac Au Coeur trail.
Rand'Aubrac is the association's flagship event, a festive day of hiking celebrating the landscapes, heritage, and traditions of this territory located between the Bès and Truyère valleys and the Aubrac plateau.
Every first Saturday of June, hikers gather in Chaudes-Aigues, a unique spa town in Cantal known for its naturally hottest waters in Europe (the Par spring reaches 82°C). From there, several hiking routes are offered, crossing the varied and magnificent landscapes of the Cantal Aubrac.

Rand'Aubrac stands out for its festive and musical atmosphere. Throughout the routes, refreshment stops punctuate the walk, and various musical performances accompany the hikers on the trails. Upon arrival, a large outdoor meal featuring aligot and sausage, essential Aubrac specialties, brings all participants together in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
Chaudes-Aigues, located at an altitude of 760 m, is a small spa town with authentic charm, known worldwide for its natural hot springs.
