Festive day of hiking between the Monts du Cantal and the Aubrac plateau
Every first Saturday of June, the Rand'Aubrac offers a great festive day in the heart of nature within the Aubrac Regional Natural Park. Organized by the association Le Grand Parcours for nearly 40 years, the event brings together walkers, trail runners, and mountain bikers around several routes crossing the magnificent landscapes of the Cantalian Aubrac, between Chaudes-Aigues and Saint-Urcize.
The event offers an expanded range: hiking trails (from 11 to 24 km), trails (17 and 27 km), mountain bike, e-bike, and gravel circuits (45 and 63 km), and a grand 75 km route. All participants benefit from quality refreshments, musical entertainment on the trails, and a large open-air meal at the finish, in a friendly atmosphere that is the signature of the event.
The Rand'Aubrac is the flagship event of the association Le Grand Parcours, a multisport organization based in Chaudes-Aigues, active for nearly 40 years in promoting nature tourism. Every year, on the first Saturday of June, it offers a festive day combining hiking, trail running, mountain biking, electric-assisted cycling, and gravel biking on the high plateaus of the Aubrac Regional Natural Park.
Several formats are offered to cater to the widest audience: occasional walkers, experienced hikers, trail runners, and cyclists. The historical distances (15 and 22 km starting from Chaudes-Aigues) are complemented by longer loops around Saint-Urcize and Nasbinals, and a grand 75 km crossing for the most experienced.
The spirit of Rand'Aubrac is based on conviviality: generous refreshments highlighting local products, musical entertainment along the trails, encounters between participants, and a large shared meal at the finish featuring Aubrac regional specialties (aligot, sausage). The event is part of an effort to promote rural heritage and the remarkable landscapes of the Aubrac plateau.
2026 edition of the Rand'Aubrac organized by the Le Grand Parcours association, on Saturday, June 6, 2026. A festive day in the heart of the Aubrac Regional Natural Park, with seven walking, trail running, mountain biking, e-bike, and gravel routes between Chaudes-Aigues and Saint-Urcize, quality refreshments, musical entertainment, and a big meal at the finish.
The 2026 edition of Rand'Aubrac will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in the heart of the Aubrac plateau, between Chaudes-Aigues (15) and Saint-Urcize (15). Organized by the Le Grand Parcours association, this great festive day combines hiking, trail running, mountain biking, electric-assist biking, and gravel riding, in the spirit of conviviality that has made the event famous for nearly forty years.
For 2026, the association offers a particularly wide range : two hikes starting from Saint-Urcize (15 km and 24 km), two trail runs (17 km « La Débonnaire » and 27 km « Alto Braco »), a large 45 km MTB/E-bike/Gravel circuit around Nasbinals, and a long 75 km route for the most experienced participants. As every year, the event emphasizes conviviality : quality refreshments showcasing local Aubrac products, musical entertainment along the routes, encounters between participants, and a big open-air meal at the finish. The non-competitive event prioritizes enjoyment, discovery of natural heritage, and meeting fellow walkers, trail runners, and cyclists.
