Ré-Majeure — edition 2026
The 15th edition of the Ré-Majeure festival brings together five classical music concerts from October 23 to 25, 2026, held in heritage sites across the Île de Ré, under the presidency of Jacques Toubon. The accordion-trumpet duo of Félicien Brut and Lucienne Renaudin Vary opens the festival in La Couarde-sur-Mer, followed by Les Musiciens du Louvre conducted by Clément Pottier in Les Portes-en-Ré, and a recital by pianist Vanessa Wagner in Rivedoux-Plage. Two morning "concertôts" round out the program, each followed by an artist Q&A.

An exceptional festival on the Île de Ré
The Ré-Majeure festival has become since 2010 an essential event for classical music on the Île de Ré. Under the artistic direction of conductor Marc Minkowski, founder of Les Musiciens du Louvre, the festival offers an ambitious and eclectic program that aims to highlight young virtuoso musicians in their disciplines.
A varied and innovative program
The festival is distinguished by its desire to create bridges between eras and musical styles. On the program: classical concerts, tributes to great artists, original themed evenings, and "concertôt(s)" (morning concerts) in unusual heritage sites on the island. This diversity allows it to reach all audiences, from seasoned music lovers to families discovering classical music.
Exceptional heritage venues
The concerts take place in several towns on the Île de Ré, notably in Loix, La Couarde-sur-Mer, and other remarkable heritage sites. This enhancement of the island's architectural heritage adds a unique dimension to the musical experience offered to spectators.
