The human-sized reggae festival of Limousin
Supported by the association Horizons Croisés, Reggae Empire is the unmissable event for reggae lovers in Haute-Vienne. Located at the Espace Georges Brassens in Feytiat, near Limoges, this human-sized festival celebrates reggae culture and its Caribbean roots in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Since its creation in 2016, it has brought together major figures of French reggae and emerging talents over two days, offering a program rich in positive vibrations.
Born in 2016 on the initiative of the association Horizons Croisés based in Limoges, Reggae Empire quickly established itself as the reference reggae festival in Haute-Vienne. The event draws its energy from the Caribbean roots of reggae and offers a unique musical immersion on the outskirts of Limousin, in the town of Feytiat.
The festival takes place at the Espace Georges Brassens, a multi-purpose venue located at Place de Leun in Feytiat, just a few minutes from Limoges city center. This human-sized venue allows for a rare proximity between artists and the public, creating an intimate atmosphere conducive to sharing and musical communion. The space has a bar and on-site catering, as well as free parking for festival-goers.
Over the years, Reggae Empire has hosted the biggest names in French and international reggae. Among the artists who have made the festival's history, we find Danakil, Naâman, Pierpoljak, Yaniss Odua, Daddy Mory, Biga*Ranx, Pablo Moses, Massilia Sound System, Panda Dub, Ryon, Volodia, as well as local artists Steff Tej & Éjectés and Raspat. This eclectic program mixes confirmed headliners and discoveries, offering a complete panorama of the contemporary reggae scene.
Reggae Empire stands out for its philosophy: to offer a friendly, human-sized event full of good vibes. The Horizons Croisés association promotes values of sharing, openness, and living together, which are reflected in each edition. The festival is aimed at all generations with accessible prices, especially for children, and contributes to the cultural influence of the Limoges metropolitan area by making Feytiat vibrate to the rhythms of reggae, dub, and Caribbean sounds.
