Normandy's free open-air rock festival
Born in 2017 from the ashes of the mythical "Rock dans tous ses états", the Rock in Évreux festival brings together nearly 15,000 festival-goers each summer at the Hippodrome de Navarre. Free and open-air, it offers an eclectic program mixing rock, reggae, pop, and current music, with international headliners and Norman discoveries. An unmissable event on the Norman music scene.
Rock in Évreux is a free, open-air music festival held every year on the last weekend of June at the Hippodrome de Navarre in Évreux, Eure. Created in 2017 by the association Normandy Rock, it took over from the legendary festival "Le Rock dans tous ses états" which had animated the city since the 1980s.
True to its DNA, Rock in Évreux offers a varied program that goes beyond rock to embrace reggae, pop, electro, and urban music. Each edition mixes international headliners, confirmed French artists, and regional Norman discoveries. The festival stands out for its complete freeness, making live music accessible to the greatest number.
The Hippodrome de Navarre offers a green and spacious setting, ideal for welcoming thousands of festival-goers in a friendly and family atmosphere. The stages are set up on the racecourse site, creating a unique atmosphere where music resonates under the Norman sky. Local food stands and bars complete the festival experience.
In December 2016, the disappearance of the festival "Le Rock dans tous ses états" left a huge void in Évreux's cultural landscape. From January 2017, the municipality and the Normandy Rock association, created for the occasion, took up the challenge of maintaining a major rock festival in Évreux. Since then, Rock in Évreux has continued to grow, welcoming artists of the stature of Matmatah, Shaka Ponk, Kyo, UB40, Nada Surf, and Louis Bertignac.
Beyond music, Rock in Évreux upholds values of openness and sharing. The festival is accessible to all thanks to its freeness and implements actions for sustainable development. It actively contributes to the cultural and economic influence of the Eure region and Normandy.
The 9th edition of Rock in Évreux is scheduled for late June 2026 at the Hippodrome de Navarre. The festival will continue to offer an eclectic and free program, mixing headliners and Norman discoveries.
Rock in Évreux returns for its 9th edition in late June 2026 at the Hippodrome de Navarre. The lineup will be announced in spring 2026. The festival remains true to its values of freeness and musical openness.
