The charity rock festival of Nice
The Rockfest 1 Max de Bruit is much more than just a rock festival: it's a charitable event that places solidarity at the heart of its approach. Organized by the association 1 Max de Bruit in partnership with the City of Nice, the festival donates all of its profits to a partner association chosen each year to support sick children or those in vulnerable situations. The 2026 edition's proceeds will thus be donated to the association Sourire à la Vie, which supports children with cancer. Since its creation in 2013, the Rockfest has collected nearly €100,000 for the benefit of more than 12 associations.
The festival takes place at the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice, located in the Jardin Albert 1er facing the Promenade des Anglais. This exceptional setting, usually associated with variety or jazz concerts, transforms for a weekend into a true temple of rock. The open-air stage, with a capacity of approximately 3,200 seats, offers remarkable acoustics and an electric atmosphere.
Each edition of Rockfest offers a dense lineup with approximately 15 to 17 bands spread over three days. The festival gives pride of place to tribute bands paying homage to the biggest names in rock (Trust, The Ramones, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Korn, The Corrs, Depeche Mode, Thin Lizzy, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Garbage…) while also giving significant space to original acts from the regional and national rock, punk, and metal scene.
Between sets, DJ DJESS now provides electro-rock transitions to keep the energy at its peak throughout the evenings.
The Rockfest 1 Max de Bruit has the particularity of benefiting from the faithful patronage of Norbert « Nono » Krief, legendary guitarist and co-founder of the band Trust, who accompanies the festival edition after edition. The 2026 edition sees him share the stage with Manu Lanvin, a major figure in French blues-rock, in an exceptional live performance that has become one of the festival's highlights.
True to its spirit of solidarity, the Rockfest 1 Max de Bruit offers very accessible prices: day pass from €15 and 3-day pass for €42, with a child rate (6-14 years) at €10 per day and €28 for the 3-day pass. This pricing policy allows the greatest number of people to enjoy the festival while contributing to a noble cause.
The Rockfest 1 Max de Bruit celebrated its 12th edition from May 8 to 10, 2026 at the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice. Three days of charity rock and metal with 17 bands on stage and an exceptional live performance by Norbert Krief (Trust) and Manu Lanvin, benefiting the association Sourire à la Vie which supports children with cancer.
