The grand wine fair of the AOC Côtes de Toul
Since 1984, the Salle de l'Arsenal in Toul has been transformed each spring into a gigantic wine cellar for the Salon des Vins de Toul. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Toul, this leading wine event in the Grand Est region brings together winemakers, producers, and enthusiasts for three days of tastings, meetings, and oenological discoveries.
The fair gives pride of place to wines from the AOC Côtes de Toul, an appellation of controlled origin that is the pride of the Lorraine vineyard:
The fair hosts about sixty exhibitors from all over France and abroad. Alongside the winemakers from Toulois, you will find producers from Burgundy, Alsace, Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, and elsewhere. International wines, particularly from Moldova, Georgia, Hungary, and Germany, enrich the range of discoveries.
The fair takes place over three days, from Friday to Sunday:
In addition to tastings, the fair offers:
The Salon des Vins de Toul contributes to the influence of the Lorraine vineyard and the promotion of the AOC Côtes de Toul, one of the smallest appellations in France. It participates in the tourist dynamism of the Toulois region and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The Salle de l'Arsenal is located at Avenue du Colonel Péchot, 54200 Toul, in the historic military district of the city, near the city center.
The Salle de l'Arsenal is a large event space that is transformed for the occasion into a gigantic wine cellar. Exhibitors are arranged in a tasting circuit that allows for easy navigation between the different stands. The layout allows for comfortable tastings and privileged exchanges with the winemakers.
The fair takes place over three days:
Admission is paid and includes a screen-printed tasting glass. Reduced rates for organized groups. Bottle purchases are made directly from exhibitors. Credit card payment is accepted at most stands.
The tasting glass provided at the entrance allows you to sample the wines offered by the exhibitors. Spittoons are available at each stand for tasting. It is recommended to take your time and chat with the winemakers, who are happy to present their wines and terroirs.
Remember to bring a tote bag or a cart to carry your bottle purchases. A cloakroom service allows you to store your purchases during your visit. Wear appropriate clothing as the hall can be cool in April. Shuttles or transport services may be offered for groups.
A raffle is organized during the fair, with many wine bottle prizes to be won. Tickets are sold on-site.
Take advantage of your visit to discover Toul's heritage: the Saint-Étienne cathedral with its flamboyant Gothic facade, the cloister of the collegiate church of Saint-Gengoult, the Vauban ramparts, and the medieval streets of the historic center.
