The meeting place for winemakers and local producers in Forez
Organized every year in March by the Office des Fêtes de Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, the Salon des Vins et du Terroir brings together winemakers and producers from all over France at the Salle de l'Embarcadère. Since its creation in 2010, this free and friendly event allows visitors to discover over 90 wine appellations and numerous local products. On the program: tastings, culinary demonstrations orchestrated by a chef, blind tasting competition organized by the Club Épicure Loire/Forez, tasting platters (oysters, salmon, cheeses, charcuterie, pastries), creative workshops for children, and a tombola with many prizes to be won. A true showcase of French gastronomy, the fair is held over three days — from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon — in a warm and festive atmosphere in the heart of the Forez plain.
Every year in March, the Salle de l'Embarcadère in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert transforms into a vast space for tasting and discovering French flavors. The Salon des Vins et du Terroir, organized by the Office des Fêtes de Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, welcomes winemakers and local producers from all French wine regions: Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne, Jura, Côtes du Rhône, Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Languedoc, and many others.
The fair offers an exceptional panorama of French vineyards with over 90 appellations represented. Visitors can taste and buy directly from producers, benefiting from personalized advice on food and wine pairings, vintages, and terroirs. Passionate winemakers share their expertise and introduce unique vintages often unavailable in traditional retail.
Beyond wine tasting, the fair celebrates gastronomy in all its forms. Culinary demonstrations led by a chef punctuate the weekend, featuring recipe demonstrations and food and wine pairings. The blind tasting competition, organized by the Club Épicure Loire/Forez, is a highlight much appreciated by enthusiasts: participants must identify wines without knowing their origin, in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Several exhibitors offer tasting platters on-site: oysters, smoked salmon, aged cheeses, artisanal charcuterie, and pastries. Local products are also featured with stands dedicated to snails, morels, olives, artisanal breads, and other regional specialties.
The Salon des Vins et du Terroir is an event open to all, with completely free admission. Culinary and creative workshops for children are offered throughout the weekend, making this fair an ideal family outing. A tombola with numerous prizes — including a stay in a lodge in the vineyards for two people — adds a festive dimension to the event.
