Sauvage Festival: Independent Music in the Spotlight
Sauvage Festival is a festival of alternative and independent music that was born in 2023 in Limoges, driven by the association Argos Prod. Conceived as an alternative to commercial events, it defends a committed vision of culture by showcasing artists from the local and regional independent scene.
An Eclectic and Bold Program
The strength of Sauvage Festival lies in the richness of its programming, which crosses musical genre boundaries. From reggae to hardcore, from hip-hop to rock, from electro to punk, including dub, each edition offers a complete panorama of alternative music. The first edition notably hosted confirmed bands from Haute-Vienne such as Raspat (reggae), The Reflective Cufflinks (rock), Agathe (pop), Do Not Do (electro pop rock), RDS Sound System (dub), Iron Leg (reggae), and Undreads (reggae).
A Responsible and Solidarity Festival
Sauvage Festival stands out for its commitment to sobriety and resource economy, without ever compromising the quality of the music. Catering favors local and organic products, and prices are deliberately accessible to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the event. With an entry price of 6 euros for the day or 10 euros for the two-day pass, the festival affirms its desire to make culture accessible to all.
The CCM John Lennon: A Venue for Contemporary Music
The festival takes place at the Centre Culturel Municipal John Lennon, an emblematic venue for contemporary music in Limoges. Located on rue de Feytiat, this venue dedicated to contemporary music programming hosts around sixty concerts per season and is a natural anchor point for an event like Sauvage Festival. The acoustics and configuration of the venue allow for appreciated proximity between artists and the public.
A Growing Project
Launched as a test edition in 2023, Sauvage Festival aims to grow edition after edition while retaining its alternative and self-managed identity.
