Reggae, dub, and solidarity festival at Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul
Born in 2018 from the desire to combine musical passion and solidarity commitment, Solifestival quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the reggae and dub scene in the Grand Ouest region. This non-profit organization uses music as a lever to raise funds and provide concrete support to families facing disability, giving full meaning to the festival's motto: human-sized solidarity.
Each edition of Solifestival brings together a loyal and warm audience over two days around values of sharing, kindness, and celebration. The carefully curated program showcases reggae, dub, ska-punk, and sound system sounds, with a balanced mix of established French and international artists and emerging talents.
Since the 2025 edition, Solifestival has taken up residence at the Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul in Massais, within the commune of Val en Vignes. This remarkable site offers a unique heritage backdrop for the festival, with its vast green spaces conducive to outdoor celebration. Two stages—a main stage and an alternative stage—allow for a continuous and varied program from Friday evening to late Saturday night.
Solifestival deliberately cultivates a human-sized format, far from impersonal mega-festivals. This dimension helps maintain a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere, where festival-goers, artists, and volunteers mingle in a spirit of community. Free camping, food trucks, and bars complete the experience for a weekend of relaxed, solidarity-driven celebration.
What fundamentally distinguishes Solifestival from other festivals in the region is its unwavering charitable commitment. Every ticket purchased, every drink at the bar directly contributes to supporting families affected by disability. The association donates its profits in the form of financial aid and moral support, demonstrating that celebration and solidarity can perfectly coexist.
The 7th edition of Solifestival takes place on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul, in Massais (Val en Vignes, Deux-Sèvres).
