About Sortileges
Les Sortileges de la Pleine Lune is a nocturnal storytelling festival that takes place every summer in the Monts de Gueret, at the Parc Animalier des Loups de Chabrieres. Created in 1995, the festival offers nocturnal storytelling walks by moonlight, where storytellers and artists narrate legends and fantastic stories in the Chabrieres forest, in the presence of wolves. A magical and unique event that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Les Sortileges de la Pleine Lune, tales and legends among the wolves
The Sortileges de la Pleine Lune are a nocturnal storytelling festival that has been taking place since 1995 in the Monts de Gueret, at the Parc Animalier des Loups de Chabrieres. Every summer, from mid-July to mid-August, storytellers and artists from Creuse, Limousin, and elsewhere narrate legends and fantastic stories at dusk.
Storytelling walks in the Chabrieres forest
The evenings take place on Tuesday evenings within the Wolf Park and on the trails of the Chabrieres forest. Participants settle in comfortably, often with blankets and cushions, to listen to fascinating and thrilling stories told by passionate storytellers, in an atmosphere enhanced by the presence of wolves.
More than 30 years of nocturnal magic
Organized by the Office de Tourisme de Grand Gueret, the festival celebrated its 31st edition in 2025. The Sortileges have become a must-attend event of the Creuse summer, attracting families and lovers of nature and legends from all over the region.

The 32nd edition of Sortileges de la Pleine Lune is scheduled from mid-July to mid-August 2026 at the Parc Animalier des Monts de Gueret for new nocturnal storytelling evenings.
