The festival of Berry agriculture

Terr'Agri is the flagship agricultural event of the Indre department, supported by the Young Farmers of Indre (JA 36). Every year, at the end of August, this major gathering celebrates agriculture, local produce and rural life in a friendly and festive atmosphere. The event takes place at the Grange Dieu site in Levroux, offering a vast outdoor space ideal for demonstrations and activities.

The Moiss'Batt'Cross: the spectacular event

The Moiss'Batt'Cross is undoubtedly the highlight of the Terr'Agri show. This unique and spectacular event features combine harvesters racing on a specially designed track. The agricultural machines, usually used for fieldwork, transform into real racing vehicles for the spectators' delight. The roar of the engines, the dust kicked up by the machines, and the drivers' skill create a spectacle that is as impressive as it is unforgettable, attracting enthusiasts from all over the region.

Tractor pulling and plowing competition

Tractor pulling is another major attraction of Terr'Agri. This discipline, imported from the United States, involves pulling the heaviest possible load on a dirt track. The tractors, sometimes specially prepared for the occasion, deploy impressive power under the cheers of the crowd.

The departmental plowing competition is a key moment for the young farmers of Indre, who compete with precision and know-how in this ancestral discipline. This competition, organized in partnership with the Chamber of Agriculture of Indre, highlights the technical skills of the farmers and the beauty of agricultural practice.

Local produce, tastings and know-how

Terr'Agri hosts a large local produce market where local producers present the riches of Berry agriculture: goat cheeses, green lentils from Berry, honey, meats and charcuterie, wines from the Reuilly and Valençay appellations, craft beers, and many other specialties. Tastings and culinary demonstrations allow visitors to discover the authentic flavors of Berry.

Exhibitions of modern and vintage agricultural machinery trace the evolution of agriculture, while conferences and debates address current issues in the rural world: sustainable agriculture, the establishment of young farmers, short supply chains, and technological innovation.

Activities and festivities for the whole family

Terr'Agri is a festival designed for all audiences. Children have a dedicated area with educational activities about the farm and nature. Inflatable structures, discovery workshops, and tractor rides complement the range of activities. In the evening, concerts and festive evenings extend the event in a friendly and warm atmosphere, bringing together farmers, families, and visitors for music and dancing.
