Access and Transport
By car: Verdun is accessible via the A4 motorway (Voie Sacrée exit) and the RN3. From Paris, allow about 2h45. From Metz, allow about 1h. From Nancy, allow about 1h30. The Salle Jeanne d'Arc is located at 60 Avenue de la 42ème Division, east of the city center. Free parking near the venue and in adjacent streets.
By train: Verdun station is served by TER Grand Est from Metz (about 1h15, with a connection at Conflans-Jarny). The Salle Jeanne d'Arc is about a 15-minute walk from the station, along the Meuse river to the east.

Hours: Friday and Saturday, from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Three bands per evening.
Capacity: 250 people. The limited capacity ensures exceptional proximity to the artists.
Food and Drink: Bar run by volunteers with local beers (Rarécourt beer) and other drinks. Homemade food at low prices: Savoyard raclette, Verdun bread, and other specialties. Prices are intentionally low to remain accessible to all.
Payment: Cash and credit card accepted at the bar and for food.
Practical Tips
The festival takes place indoors at the Salle Jeanne d'Arc. The atmosphere is warm, and the venue's acoustics are perfectly suited for rock and metal concerts. Hearing protection is recommended for those sensitive to sound volume. As the festival has a limited capacity of 250 people, it is advisable to arrive early to ensure you get a spot.

Verdun offers a good selection of hotels, B&Bs, and vacation rentals in the city center and its surroundings. As the festival takes place in February, availability is generally good, but it is wise to book in advance.

The Temple of Rock in Verdun
The Winter Project is a festival that transforms the Salle Jeanne d'Arc in Verdun into a true temple of rock, hard rock, and metal every winter. Organized by the association La Fabrik Artistique, this winter festival offers two evenings of intense and electrifying concerts, featuring bands from the local and regional scene of Grand Est.
Two Evenings of Concerts
The festival takes place over two evenings, Friday and Saturday, with three bands per evening. The concerts run from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM, offering several hours of live music in an intimate atmosphere. The lineup mixes rock, hard rock, and metal with bands of various styles, from classic formations to more experimental projects. Among the bands that have participated in previous editions: Unikore, Lost Obstinacy, Prosaic, Oldies, Les Fils du Chat Noir, Adam, Acouphène, Restricted Area, Dusk of Delusion, Les Drop's, Loowie, and Winecraft.
An Independent and Friendly Spirit
The Winter Project embodies the spirit of independent and DIY (Do It Yourself) rock. The bar is run by volunteers, and the food is homemade and affordably priced, with specialties like Savoyard raclette, Verdun bread, and Rarécourt beer. This artisanal and friendly approach creates a warm atmosphere where musicians and spectators come together in a spirit of sharing.
