The TDB's theatrical creation festival in Dijon
Théâtre en Mai is the annual festival of the Théâtre Dijon Bourgogne (TDB), a National Dramatic Center. Created in 1990, this unmissable event in contemporary theater offers two weeks of creations, performances, and meetings dedicated to emerging and international creation each spring.
Created in 1990 by François Le Pillouër, Théâtre en Mai is the highlight of the Théâtre Dijon Bourgogne, a National Dramatic Center. For two weeks, the festival highlights young companies and emerging creators, while opening its doors to international and multidisciplinary creation.
Théâtre en Mai aims to be a place of discovery where the Dijon public can meet artists, attend new creations, and participate in debates. The festival takes over the TDB's stages but also other cultural venues in the city and urban spaces, thus creating theatrical effervescence throughout Dijon.
Over the years, Théâtre en Mai has opened up to international creation, welcoming companies from Europe and around the world. This international dimension enriches artistic dialogue and allows the public to discover various aesthetics and stage languages. Radio en Mai, a participatory radio project produced by amateurs, complements this dynamic.
