The meeting point for Latin dance enthusiasts in Anjou
For over ten years, the Trélazé Salsa Festival has been setting the Salle Aragon in Trélazé alight with the rhythms of salsa, bachata, and kizomba. Organized by the association Pôle Latino's 49, this event has become one of the largest Latin dance festivals in Western France, attracting enthusiasts from all over Europe.
The festival offers a packed program over three to four days: 40 workshops led by international dancers and choreographers, spread across three themed rooms (salsa, bachata, kizomba). The evenings are organized on three simultaneous dance floors, with specialized DJs playing sets until the early morning.
The musical highlight of the festival is the live concert on Saturday evening, featuring renowned orchestras. The 10th-anniversary edition notably hosted Orquesta Elito Revé y su Charangón, a legendary Cuban band on its European tour.
The Trélazé Salsa Festival is known for its warm and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Beginner and experienced dancers come together in a spirit of sharing and camaraderie, where dance is a universal language. The festival also offers food stalls, a bar, relaxation areas, and massage services, for a weekend entirely dedicated to Latin dances.
The Pôle Latino's 49 association, based in Trélazé, works year-round to promote Latin dances in Anjou. Weekly classes, workshops, and parties complement the festival's offerings, making Trélazé a recognized hub for Latin dances in the Grand Ouest region. Founded in 2014, the association brings together a passionate community of dancers of all levels, who regularly meet to practice and share their love for Latin dance.
The 11th edition of the Trélazé Salsa Festival was held from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, at Salle Aragon (Parc du Vissoir), in Trélazé. Three intensive days focused on salsa, bachata, and kizomba: about forty workshops spread across three rooms, three evenings on three dance floors, and two live concerts by Cuban headliners Yasser Ramos y Tumbao Mayombe and Alain Pérez y La Orquesta.
