Jazz by the Sea in Saint-Cast

The Un Air de Jazz Festival enlivens the seaside resort of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo on the Côte d'Émeraude every summer. For about fifteen years, this musical event has offered jazz, soul, salsa, and world music concerts during the first days of August, in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

Several Stages, Several Ambiences

The festival unfolds on several stages spread throughout the town: the marquee on Rue de Brie hosts the paid headline concerts in the evening, the Rotonde on Boulevard de la Mer offers free DJ sets in the late afternoon, and the Square Pellion provides an open-air setting for free concerts. A pass covering the two paid concerts is available at a preferential rate.

An Eclectic and Festive Program

The Un Air de Jazz program extends well beyond traditional jazz, welcoming bands playing salsa, soul music, funk, and world music. The Art Big Band, a group of about twenty amateur and professional musicians, is a regular at the festival and participates in the festivities with big band jazz performances.
