Woodstower: The Eco-Festival That Has Been Energizing Lyon Since 1998

The Woodstower adventure began in 1996, during a simple evening among friends. Two years later, in 1998, the festival took shape for its first official edition. Initially located at La Tour de Salvagny from 1997 to 2003, then at the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage from 2005 onwards, Woodstower has grown while maintaining its spirit as a committed and accessible eco-festival.

A New Chapter at Parc de Gerland

In 2025, Woodstower opens a new chapter in its history by settling at Parc de Gerland, right in the heart of Lyon's 7th arrondissement. This move brings the festival closer to the city center and makes it more accessible thanks to the Lyon public transport network (metro B, tram T1). The park offers an exceptional green setting to host the stages, the eco-village, and the activities.

An Eclectic and Unifying Program

Each year, Woodstower offers a diverse program mixing major figures from rap, pop, electro, and world music. Confirmed headliners share the stage with emerging artists across several platforms, creating a rich and surprising musical atmosphere. In 2025, the festival hosted artists such as SCH, Polo & Pan, Bon Entendeur, Chinese Man, Acid Arab, Emma Peters, and many others.

The Eco-Village and Free Sunday

True to its environmental values, Woodstower offers an eco-village with conferences, workshops, and awareness activities for all ages. Sunday is completely free and open to everyone, with a dedicated program combining concerts, activities, and relaxation areas, embodying the festival's family-friendly and inclusive spirit.

Pioneering Environmental Commitment

Woodstower is a pioneer among eco-responsible festivals in France. Waste sorting, reusable tableware, local and organic food, energy saving: each edition strengthens actions for the environment, making the festival a model of sustainable cultural events.
