Engaged and feminist European multidisciplinary festival
Since 2019, the Amiens Europe Festival has established itself as a must-attend event for contemporary European creation in the Hauts-de-France region. Supported by the Maison de la Culture d'Amiens, a national stage and international production hub, the festival takes over Amiens' stages for ten days in the heart of winter to offer a committed multidisciplinary program.
The festival hosts artists from all over Europe β Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Nordic countries β who explore contemporary issues through theater, dance, music, circus, cinema, and visual arts. Each edition is driven by a strong theme that guides the programming and fuels discussions.
The Amiens Europe Festival is distinguished by its avowed feminist commitment. The festival explores issues of equality, gender, diversity, and inclusion through the works presented, as well as through a "Feminist School", a series of free meetings and debates open to all. This intellectual highlight allows the public to delve deeper into the themes addressed on stage and to meet researchers, activists, and committed artists.
The program of the Amiens Europe Festival blends large-scale performances with more intimate formats, original creations, and revivals of significant European works. The festival is also a place for conviviality and sharing, with karaoke nights, DJ sets, and festive moments that extend the shows late into the night.
The festival spreads throughout the city of Amiens, mobilizing a network of partner cultural venues β theaters, cinemas, galleries, libraries β to offer a rich and accessible artistic program to the widest possible audience.
In a context of rising nationalism and questioning of the European project, the Amiens Europe Festival affirms the necessity of intercultural dialogue and solidarity between peoples. By inviting artists from all European countries, the festival builds bridges between the continent's artistic scenes and offers the Amiens public a window onto the most vibrant European creation.
The Amiens Europe Festival returns for its 8th edition from January 29 to February 7, 2026, under the title "Feminist Futures Festival". This edition aims to be an inclusive, international, and warm event, "widely open to all feminist and queer currents," celebrating what brings us together and inviting sisterhood.
For ten days, the festival will feature theater, dance, and circus performances, concerts, film screenings, DJ sets, karaoke, and meeting opportunities. Artists from Belgium, Germany, Australia, and France will take over the stages of the Maison de la Culture d'Amiens and partner venues in the city.
The FFF Pass will offer unlimited access to performances at the Maison de la Culture and reduced prices at partner venues, while the Feminist School will once again offer free access meetings and debates.
