The meeting point for nature sports in Corrèze
Aquaterra is the unmissable nature sports festival in Corrèze and Auvergne. Organized every year at the beginning of July at Lake Bort-les-Orgues, at the confluence of the Corrèze, Puy-de-Dôme, and Cantal departments, the event transforms the Dordogne reservoir into the region's outdoor sports hotspot.
For one day, around 1500 participants converge on Bort-les-Orgues to compete on trail running, swimrun, and hiking courses in a spectacular natural setting between mountains and lake. The event celebrates the beauty of the Corrèze and Auvergne landscapes while offering sports challenges suitable for all levels.
Trail runs, swimruns, and hikes for all levels
Aquaterra offers a complete sports program with 5 trail runs, 3 swimruns, and 4 hikes:
Trail Runs: Discovery courses of 5 and 12 km, short trails of 25 and 46 km, a long trail of 70 km, and an ultra-trail of 110 km. Each course offers panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Swimruns: A combination of running and swimming in Lake Bort-les-Orgues, a demanding discipline that combines land and water endurance.
Hikes: Courses of 5, 10, 21, and 25 km to discover the area at a more contemplative pace.
