About Ariège Grandeur Nature
The Ariège Grandeur Nature Festival is the flagship public event hosted by ANA-CEN Ariège (Association des Naturalistes de l'Ariège - Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels). The association holds this biennial event every other year in early October. Since 2024, it has been hosted in Cos, centered around the Maison de la Biodiversité, which serves as the association's headquarters near Foix; it was previously held in La Bastide-de-Sérou. Cos (09000), around the Maison de la Biodiversité, 8 bis rue de Rouzaud, headquarters of ANA-CEN Ariège. The festival was previously held in La Bastide-de-Sérou; it has been held in Cos since 2024.

Access and Parking
- By car: Visitor parking is available in the village of Cos. Access to the Maison de la Biodiversité is on foot, except for people with reduced mobility and deliveries.
- By bus: The liO Cos-Rouzaud stop on the D117 (Foix - Saint-Girons line) is about a ten-minute walk from the Maison de la Biodiversité.
- By bike: The center of Cos is about twenty minutes from the center of Foix.

Who organizes the festival
The Ariège Grandeur Nature Festival is organized by ANA-CEN Ariège, a non-profit association recognized as a Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives (CPIE Ariège). The association promotes the natural heritage of the Ariège region through workshops, nature outings, themed evenings, and lectures. The festival takes place every two years in early October. It was held on October 3, 2020, and October 8, 2022, in La Bastide-de-Sérou; the 2022 edition drew 600 attendees according to the association. It moved to Cos on October 5, 2024, coinciding with the opening of the Maison de la Biodiversité, the association's new headquarters. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, back in Cos.
