A week of music in Saverdun

Notes d'Automne is a musical festival held annually at the end of October in Saverdun, in the north of Ariège. Organized by the municipality of Saverdun, this event offers a full week of concerts, shows, dance, and musical film screenings in the town's various cultural and heritage sites. Born from the desire to democratize access to music in rural areas, the festival has built a loyal and diverse audience over its successive editions.

An eclectic program in heritage locations

The uniqueness of Notes d'Automne lies in its multi-venue programming which takes over Saverdun's most emblematic spaces. The cultural center, the municipal hall, the church, the Café Sofia, and the bar-restaurant Ô Phare host, in turn, concerts of classical music, organ recitals, dance performances, musical documentaries, and popular music performances. This diversity of locations and styles allows everyone to find something they enjoy and to discover the richness of the town's architectural heritage.

Ten editions of music and sharing

Since its creation, the Notes d'Automne festival has continued to grow. The 10th edition, held from October 25 to 31, 2024, marked a symbolic milestone with a particularly rich program including an organ and trumpet concert titled “Les Fables de La Fontaine,” the show by Mare Nostrum which received a standing ovation, and many other artistic offerings. The 11th edition in 2025 continued this momentum from October 18 to 25, notably featuring a musical tale in ancient Egypt performed on organ and percussion in the church of Saverdun.

A festival for cultural democratization

Notes d'Automne embodies the municipality of Saverdun's commitment to bringing musical culture closer to its inhabitants. By offering concerts in everyday locations—a café, a hall, a cultural center—the festival breaks down the barriers between classical and popular music, between professional artists and the local audience.
