The Balade Gourmande du Vignoble Jurassien, also known as the Balade Gourmande du Triangle d'Or, is a unique experience that combines hiking and gastronomic discovery in the heart of the Arbois vineyard, one of the most prestigious appellations in the Jura.
The approximately 10-kilometer route winds through the town of Arbois and its surrounding vineyards, with five gourmet stops along the way:
The start is from Square Sarret in Arbois, and the route follows paths linked to the history of Louis Pasteur, who lived and worked in Arbois. The walk along La Cuisance, the river that flows through the town, offers bucolic and relaxing scenery.
Musical entertainment punctuates the route at each stop, creating a festive and friendly atmosphere. Local musicians and bands accompany the walkers throughout the day, contributing to making this walk a true popular event.
Arbois is one of the cradles of the Jura vineyard and the first AOC in France (1936). The town is famous for its distinctive wines: Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, and Trousseau. The Balade Gourmande is a unique opportunity to discover these grape varieties in situ, at the wineries along the route.
The event is organized by Triangle d'Or Jura Foot, a local sports association. Registration is mandatory and done online. Departures are staggered from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM to ease traffic flow on the route. The number of places is limited.
