Salon Vins & Saveurs en Pays Comtois: France's wine and gastronomy in Ornans

Since 2010, the Salon Vins & Saveurs en Pays Comtois has become a must-attend event for wine and gastronomy lovers in the Doubs region. Organized by the association Vins et Saveurs en Pays Comtois, this friendly show is held every year in November at the Centre d'Animation et de Loisirs (CAL) in Ornans.

A tour of France's vineyards

The originality of the show lies in the direct presence of the winegrowers who come to meet enthusiasts. Each edition hosts about thirty producers representing the diversity of French terroirs:

• Burgundy and Jura: local vineyards
• Bordeaux, Côtes de Blaye and Cahors: the great classics of the Southwest
• Rhône Valley and Languedoc: wines from the South
• Loire, Beaujolais and Mâconnais: pearls from central France
• Champagne and Alsace: bubbles and whites from the East

Flavors of the terroir

Alongside the winegrowers, food artisans offer their specialties: fresh oysters, artisanal charcuterie, foie gras, Burgundy snails, Comtois cheeses, and flammekueches. A catering service on-site allows for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays thanks to local caterers.

A cultural and festive event

The show is not limited to tasting. Each edition offers cultural activities related to the heritage of Ornans, the birthplace of Gustave Courbet. In 2025, the tasting glasses were decorated with Courbet's "Happy Lovers", and a play "Courbet's Last Canvas or the Art of Lying" was performed by the company L'Allée des Cerisiers.

More than 3,000 visitors

The show attracts more than 3,000 visitors each year, wine and food enthusiasts from all over the Doubs and neighboring departments. The warm atmosphere and the welcome from the winegrowers make this event a special moment for exchange and discovery.
