A Century of Gastronomic Tradition
Founded in 1921 at the initiative of Gaston Gérard, the Dijon International and Gastronomic Fair is one of the oldest and most prestigious gastronomic fairs in France. For twelve days each autumn, the Parc des Expositions et Congrès de Dijon transforms into an immense temple of gastronomy, bringing together nearly 400 exhibitors: producers, artisans, and professionals from all over France and the world.
A Major Popular Event
Cooking demonstrations, tastings, workshops, conferences, and entertainment punctuate the days, making this fair much more than a simple exhibition: a true popular celebration. Until 2019, each edition highlighted a guest country, whose culinary and cultural specialties were presented to visitors; the program now revolves around thematic halls dedicated to gastronomy, crafts, tourism, and housing.
The Heart of Gourmet Burgundy
As the capital of gastronomy, Dijon celebrates its emblematic products through this fair: mustard, gingerbread, blackcurrant, Burgundy snails, and of course, the great wines of the Côte-d'Or. The Fair is also an opportunity to discover artisanal know-how and innovations in the agri-food sector.
