Founded in 2005, the Bayeux International Circus Festival has become over twenty years one of the unmissable events for traditional circus in France. Organized every two years under a large tent in Bayeux, the festival brings together the best circus artists in the world for a week of breathtaking shows.

Artists from around the world

Each edition presents a rigorous selection of artists from all corners of the globe: high-flying trapeze artists, virtuoso jugglers, irresistible clowns, daring equilibrists, tightrope walkers, and acrobats. The acts are accompanied live by an orchestra of seven musicians, giving the show an exceptional dimension and unique emotion.

An internationally recognized festival

The Bayeux International Circus Festival is recognized by circus professionals as a benchmark event. It regularly hosts award-winning artists from the world's greatest circus festivals, including the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival. Each edition also features exhibitions dedicated to the art of the circus at the Espace Saint-Patrice and the Espace culturel Leclerc in Bayeux.

20 years of circus magic

In March 2025, the festival celebrated its 20th anniversary with the 11th edition, a special edition marked by exceptional acts and reunions with iconic artists from previous editions. The tent vibrated to the rhythm of acrobatic feats and bursts of laughter for an entire week.
