The pop concerts that do good in Rezé
The Beau Boucan Festival is a contemporary music festival dedicated to pop, independent rock, and alternative sounds, organized at La Barakason in Rezé by the Beau Boucan association. Founded by Nicolas Ricolleau and born from a partnership with La Soufflerie, a conventioned stage in Rezé, the festival highlights the emerging local and national scene with particular attention to gender balance in its programming. Over two evenings in March, it offers live concerts and DJ sets in a friendly and accessible atmosphere.
The Beau Boucan Festival was born in March 2025 in Rezé, in the Nantes metropolitan area, driven by the Beau Boucan association founded by Nicolas Ricolleau. Created in May 2022 and based in Nantes, the association first made a name for itself by regularly organizing pop and independent concerts in the agglomeration, under the motto “The pop concerts that do good”. The festival represents a major step in the development of its activities, which include organizing cultural events, promoting and disseminating artists, as well as record production and publishing.
The Beau Boucan Festival is made possible thanks to a close partnership with La Soufflerie, a conventioned stage in Rezé. This collaboration allows the festival to rely on the expertise and network of a recognized cultural institution, while maintaining the unique artistic identity of the association. The festival is part of La Soufflerie's cultural season and also benefits from the support of Sun Radio as a media partner.
The festival takes place at La Barakason, a concert hall and creation space located at 1 Allée du Dauphiné in Rezé. This human-sized venue, with a capacity of around 400 people, is ideal for discovering emerging artists in an intimate and warm atmosphere. An affordable bar and catering are available on-site, with payment by cash and card.
