No edition in June 2026
The Bordeaux Wine Interprofessional Council (CIVB), historical partner and main financier of Bordeaux Wine Festival, has decided not to allocate a budget to the 2026 edition of the event, in a context of major economic constraints for the wine industry (decline in consumption, 18% decrease in the surface area of the Bordeaux vineyard over two years, notably linked to subsidized uprooting plans).
This decision, announced in summer 2025, represents a saving of approximately €600,000 for the CIVB, which funded one third of the total budget for the 2025 edition (estimated at 2.01 million euros).
See you in July 2027
The CIVB, the City of Bordeaux and the Bordeaux Métropole Tourist Office have chosen to focus resources on an exceptionally grand 2027 edition, scheduled from July 7 to 11, 2027. This edition will coincide with the departure of the Tall Ships Race from Bordeaux, a prestigious international regatta of tall ships expected to attract between 500,000 and 1 million visitors to the banks of the Garonne.
