About Fête le Vin

Bordeaux Fête le Vin is one of the largest wine events in the world, bringing together over 500,000 visitors on the quays of Bordeaux for four days. Created in 1998, this biennial (even years) then annual event celebrates the richness of Bordeaux vineyards with tastings, concerts, shows, and a magnificent fireworks display. A festive and convivial gathering by the Garonne.

Bordeaux Fête le Vin, a global showcase for Bordeaux vineyards

Bordeaux Fête le Vin is one of the largest wine gatherings in the world. Created in 1998, this iconic event unfolds on the quays of Bordeaux, offering a unique tasting experience along the Garonne with pavilions representing the different appellations of the Bordeaux vineyards.

An exceptional tasting journey

The festival offers a tasting journey of over 2 kilometers along the quays, with themed pavilions dedicated to the great appellations: Médoc, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Graves, Sauternes, Entre-deux-Mers, and many others. Visitors can discover hundreds of wines paired with regional dishes.

Activities and shows

Beyond tastings, the festival offers a rich cultural program: free concerts, street performances, tasting initiation workshops, exhibitions, and a spectacular fireworks display launched from the Pont de Pierre to conclude the event.

An international event

With over 500,000 visitors expected, Bordeaux Fête le Vin attracts enthusiasts from around the world and contributes to the international influence of the Bordeaux metropolis and its wine regions.

No edition in June 2026

The Bordeaux Wine Interprofessional Council (CIVB), historical partner and main financier of Bordeaux Wine Festival, has decided not to allocate a budget to the 2026 edition of the event, in a context of major economic constraints for the wine industry (decline in consumption, 18% decrease in the surface area of the Bordeaux vineyard over two years, notably linked to subsidized uprooting plans).

This decision, announced in summer 2025, represents a saving of approximately €600,000 for the CIVB, which funded one third of the total budget for the 2025 edition (estimated at 2.01 million euros).

See you in July 2027

The CIVB, the City of Bordeaux and the Bordeaux Métropole Tourist Office have chosen to focus resources on an exceptionally grand 2027 edition, scheduled from July 7 to 11, 2027. This edition will coincide with the departure of the Tall Ships Race from Bordeaux, a prestigious international regatta of tall ships expected to attract between 500,000 and 1 million visitors to the banks of the Garonne.
