Breskebil Festival
Festival of languages and translation in Douarnenez
2026
About Breskebil Festival
Every year, the Breskebil festival brings the Pouldavid neighborhood of Douarnenez together to celebrate minority languages and the art of translation. Brass bands, choirs, workshops, and meet-ups come together in an "Archipelago of Languages," where the city's diverse idioms intersect. The festival is organized by the Rhizomes association, which works year-round to promote cultural diversity in Douarnenez.
