A poetic and musical festival in the heart of Artense
Born in 2013 from the meeting between the associative project of L'Oasis d'à Côté and the dynamism of the teams from the Sumène Artense community of communes, the C'Mouvoir Festival has established itself as a must-see cultural event in Cantal. Every first weekend of July, the small village of Champs-sur-Tarentaine-Marchal transforms into an ephemeral village where art and conviviality reign supreme.
An eclectic program between poetry and world music
The festival is distinguished by its programming at the crossroads of the arts. Invited poets offer text readings in intimate settings, while the evenings come alive to the rhythm of world music concerts featuring national and international artists. In 2025, for its 11th edition, the festival hosted Le Grand Tabazu (space fanfare), Fantôme (street musical show), Christine Salem Réunyon with the all-female collective Malaya, Le Mange Bal, and Maria Mazzotta, a world voice from Italy, accompanied by De Propere, a Belgian fanfare.
An offbeat and participatory universe
C'Mouvoir is above all a colorful interlude in the social life of the region. For three days, the festival offers various artistic workshops (dance, singing, writing, visual arts), play areas for children, exhibitions, and an artisan market that showcases local know-how. Access to the festival village is completely free; only the evening concerts are ticketed at very affordable prices.
An exceptional natural setting
Located on the banks of the Tarentaine, in a typical mid-mountain landscape of Artense, the festival offers a preserved natural setting conducive to disconnection and discovery. The village of Champs-sur-Tarentaine-Marchal, with its stone houses and flowery alleys, provides an ideal backdrop for this unique human and cultural experience. Organized by Sumène Artense communauté in partnership with the municipality, the tourist office, and GRAMAC, the festival mobilizes about fifty passionate volunteers.
