Messanges' rock springboard in the Landes
Created by the association C'rock Maïs, the C'Rock Maïs Festival was born from the desire to offer a stage for emerging and high school rock bands in the Landes region. Every May, the covered hall of Messanges, on the Esplanade de la Laïcité, transforms into a rock temple for a memorable evening.
The C'Rock Maïs Festival is distinguished by its mission as a musical springboard. The association was founded with the goal of giving a chance to high school bands and emerging groups, offering them the conditions of a real professional concert: quality sound, lights, two stages, and an enthusiastic audience. This mission of discovery and support for musical creation is the beating heart of the festival.
Each edition features eight bands spread across two stages, allowing for a smooth flow of concerts throughout the evening. The programming covers a wide spectrum of rock:
Despite the overflowing energy of its programming, the C'Rock Maïs Festival cultivates a family-friendly and accessible atmosphere. Admission is completely free, and on-site refreshments and food stands allow for a convivial evening with friends or family. The festival welcomes both seasoned rock enthusiasts and curious newcomers eager to discover the local music scene.
The 9th edition of the C'Rock Maïs Festival, on May 31, 2025, featured a particularly varied lineup with Poésie Zéro, Clavicule, Ravage Club, Hystery Call, Sheep n' Beer, Repris de Justesse, Hugo Ostro, and Letal (DJ set), illustrating the richness and diversity of the emerging rock scene in the Southwest.
The C'rock Maïs association, registered with the Messanges town hall, actively contributes to the cultural and associative life of the commune. The festival benefits from the support of the town of Messanges and the MACS community of communes, and is part of the Landes region's festival program.
