Salon du Livre de la Chartreuse du Liget — 2026 Edition
The 6th edition of the Salon du Livre de la Chartreuse du Liget will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, within the grounds of the Chartreuse du Liget in Chemillé-sur-Indrois. Organized by the Signature Touraine association, this outdoor literary day brings together around fifty authors from Touraine and beyond, set up under marquees in the monumental setting of this former 12th-century Carthusian monastery.
Marc Lefrançois Guest of Honor
Author Marc Lefrançois, specializing in history and literature, is the guest of honor for this edition. He will be joined by around fifty authors representing all genres: novels, historical novels, thrillers, science fiction, fantasy, poetry, youth literature, essays, biographies, local history, and heritage.
Guided Tours of the Monument
Two guided tours of the Chartreuse du Liget will be offered during the day with Christophe Meunier, geographer and historian: the first at 10:30 AM, the second at 2:30 PM. This is an opportunity to discover this historic monument founded in the 12th century by Henry II Plantagenet, nestled in the heart of the Loches forest.
A Friendly and Free Day
Access to the fair is entirely free. Visitors can stroll among the stands, meet authors, attend book signing sessions, and enjoy the exceptional heritage setting. The event is run by volunteers from the Signature Touraine association, in a spirit of conviviality and sharing around books.
