Ciné Montagne Film Festival

Every year, the Rencontres Ciné Montagne brings together a curated selection of films dedicated to outdoor mountain activities in Grenoble, including mountaineering, skiing, climbing, and trail running in non-mechanized environments. Supported by the City of Grenoble through Grenoble Montagne, the event spans five evenings at the Palais des Sports and attracts nearly 20,000 spectators, making it one of the largest mountain film festivals in Europe. A programming committee, composed of industry professionals and randomly selected audience members, chooses French and international short and feature films for the diversity of activities they showcase and for the authentic, low-impact adventures they depict.
