A fair dedicated to the treasures of the land
For over twenty years, the association Vin, Terroir et Gastronomie (VTG) has organized a fair every autumn in Corbelin, in Nord-Isère, bringing together lovers of fine wines and local products. This friendly event highlights the wine-making and gastronomic know-how from all over France and the Mediterranean basin, in a spirit of discovery and sharing.
About fifty passionate exhibitors
Each edition welcomes around 50 carefully selected exhibitors: winegrowers from Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, Languedoc, Provence, and elsewhere, producers of cheeses, cured meats, honeys, olive oils, sweets, and regional specialties. Visitors can taste and buy directly from producers in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Products from the Mediterranean basin—oils, spices, olives—complete the offering.
The VTG Cooking Competition
A highlight of the fair, the VTG Cooking Competition is a friendly contest pitting several local associations against each other. Each association presents two candidates who must prepare a dish within a set time, in front of the public. This competition, both rigorous and convivial, showcases local cuisine and culinary talents of the region.
Oyster Tasting and Regional Meal
On Sunday lunchtime, an oyster tasting from Cancale is offered to visitors, adding a taste of the sea to this terroir fair. On Saturday evening, a traditional regional meal brings together exhibitors and visitors in a festive atmosphere, allowing the discovery of flavors to continue around a large table.
An Educational Commitment
Beyond the annual event, the VTG association carries out educational activities with schools in Corbelin, offering free workshops to raise children's awareness of local products, gastronomy, and the region's food heritage. This educational dimension reflects the association's commitment to passing on culinary knowledge.
