Dance takes over the Pépinière

Dansez à la Pépinière is a free summer event that transforms the auditorium of Parc de la Pépinière into an open-air dance floor. Every summer, from early July to the end of August, the City of Nancy invites the public to come and dance in this green and emblematic setting in the city center, just a stone's throw from Place Stanislas.

A varied program for all tastes

The program, designed in partnership with local associations and the CCN – Ballet de Lorraine, offers an exceptional range of dance styles:

Tea Dances

Organized several times a week with the association Les Amis du Foyer René II, the tea dances welcome lovers of waltz, paso doble, tango, and other social dances in a friendly and joyful atmosphere, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Latin and Couple Dances

Themed evenings are dedicated to Argentine tango, salsa-bachata-kizomba, West Coast swing, and rock and swing dances, led by passionate instructors who offer introductions and free practice alternately.

Folk and Traditional Dances

Evenings of folk dances and traditional dances allow participants to discover a repertoire from French and European popular traditions, in a festive and participatory atmosphere.

Contemporary Dance

The highlight of the program, the CCN – Ballet de Lorraine, a National Choreographic Center based in Nancy, offers introductory workshops in contemporary dance at the end of summer, providing the public with a sensitive and creative approach to movement.

A unifying event

Accessible without reservation and entirely free, Dansez à la Pépinière is a unifying event that brings together all generations. From beginner dancers to experienced practitioners, everyone finds their place on the park's dance floor. The event contributes to the summer entertainment of Nancy and the democratization of dance in all its forms.

The Parc de la Pépinière, Nancy's green lung located in the city center, offers an ideal setting for these dancing events. With its 21 hectares of green spaces, shaded alleys, and open-air auditorium, it provides a natural haven conducive to relaxation and celebration.
