About Deauville Sport Images Festival
The Deauville Sport Images Festival brings sports photography into the public spaces of Deauville. Every summer, for three months, the boardwalks, the harbor, the quai de la Touques, avenue Lucien Barrière, place Chanel, and the Hangar host open-access photo displays. Organized by the city of Deauville since 2025, the second edition highlights women in sports, featuring major athletes, female photographers, and influential figures in the sporting world.
The festival brings together around fifteen exhibitions by renowned sports photography agencies and photographers—including Paris Match, Sports Illustrated, AFP, and names like David Burnett, Corinne Dubreuil, Pauline Ballet, and Gérard Uféras. The opening night, "La Nuit du Sport," takes place at the Centre International de Deauville, featuring screenings, athlete testimonials, and an awards ceremony for sports photography and documentaries. A documentary component, the Deauville Sport Doc Festival, rounds out the program with films dedicated to football, cycling, biathlon, mountaineering, paracycling, and Formula 1.
