About Béton
Béton — edition 2026
The 8th edition of the Béton festival will take place on September 18, 19 and 20, 2026 in Le Havre. For three days, the event continues its unique dialogue between Le Havre's architectural heritage (the city center rebuilt by Auguste Perret, classified by UNESCO) and an avant-garde musical offering, in emblematic venues across the city.
Béton 2026 — 8th edition
From September 18 to 20, 2026, Béton once again takes over Le Havre's emblematic venues for three days of artistic, musical, and urban explorations. The festival blends electronic and contemporary music, discovery of Perret's architecture, and festive moments in the heart of the reconstructed city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Several formats return in 2026: an opening concert in partnership with FIP and its immersive FIP 360 system within the monumental setting of Église Saint-Joseph, Boat Parties to (re)discover the industrial and port heritage with music on board, a Pool Party at Bains des Docks, as well as an architectural component centered around the Halle aux Poissons.
The complete musical program for the 2026 edition is being finalized by the organizer (HB Production) and will be progressively unveiled on the official website.

A festival born from the meeting of music and concrete
Béton is an unconventional festival that draws its identity from the exceptional architecture of Le Havre, a city rebuilt after 1944 by architect Auguste Perret and his team. The reconstructed city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005, is built entirely of reinforced concrete—the material that gives the festival its name. Since its inception, Béton has transformed these monumental structures into concert stages, creating an artistic experience where electronic music resonates in spaces steeped in history and architectural significance.
Iconic venues as concert stages
What makes Béton unique is its ability to take over Le Havre's most remarkable monuments. The Saint-Joseph Church, an Auguste Perret masterpiece with its 107-meter lantern tower, hosts intimate concerts where music blends with the play of light from the magnificent stained glass windows designed by France's first female master glassmaker, Marguerite Huré. The Bains des Docks, an aquatic complex designed by Jean Nouvel, becomes the setting for a memorable pool party. The Halle aux Poissons is transformed into a space for lectures and workshops on architecture. Boat parties navigate the harbor, adding a maritime dimension to this sonic adventure.
Electronic music, rap, and architectural heritage
Béton's programming blends electronic music, rap, and heritage discovery with a clear cultural ambition. Artists such as Superpoze, Busy P, and Tatie Dee have performed in historic venues, while the festival's Archi component offers lectures, guided walking tours on brutalism and the reconstructed city center, workshops, and exclusive visits to sites like the Perret show apartment or the 17th floor of the City Hall tower. The festival takes place during the European Heritage Days.
A celebration of Le Havre's identity
Béton embodies the spirit of contemporary Le Havre: a city that embraces its bold architectural heritage and transforms it into a creative playground. The festival helps change perceptions of concrete architecture, which is often misunderstood, by showing that these buildings possess a singular beauty enhanced by music and light. With its Béton Print Club, which brings together a dozen publishing houses, the festival further enriches its cultural offerings and asserts its unique place in the French festival landscape.
