Two days of music and festivities in the heart of nature

For its fourth edition, the Demi Lune Festival takes over the Étangs Demi-Lune in Kolbsheim on Friday, August 14th, and Saturday, August 15th, 2026. The event stays true to its roots: 1.5 hectares of natural, waterfront grounds just a dozen kilometers from Strasbourg, a tight lineup of ten bands, and an organization run entirely by La Moucherie Production and the Demi-Lune 67 association with their dedicated volunteers.

Rock and metal Friday, eclectic Saturday

The two days maintain their distinct musical identities. Friday, August 14th, is for rock and metal fans, featuring the instrumental post-rock and electro of Pôle Nord, the alternative metal of Meadows, the alternative rock of Von Deeper, the dark rock of Daria Arkova, and the post-rock of Kamarad. Saturday, August 15th, offers an eclectic, family-friendly day: the dub, drum'n'bass, and hip-hop of Antipod, the ska of The Clockmakers, the rap of Leak, the blues rock of StanSkibby And The Sharp, and the modern disco of Almost Rose.

A festival where you can stay the night

Camping is at the heart of the festival experience: pitch your tent, park your camper, or sleep under the stars—you are free to choose your spot in the designated area upon arrival. Breakfast is served from 9 am to 11 am (coffee or fruit juice and pastries), and a barbecue is reserved for campers on Saturday from 12 pm to 2 pm. Since August 15th is a public holiday, organizers recommend planning ahead for your grill supplies.

On-site activities and food

Between concerts, the site offers badminton, foosball, mölkky, pétanque, slackline, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, wooden games, and fitness activities, plus face painting, children's games, and a coloring mural for the little ones. Film photography makes a comeback with Antoine and Maximilien, available on a pay-what-you-want basis. As for food, the snack stand serves tartes flambées—classic, gratinée, mushroom, or vegetarian/vegan versions—along with mini-knacks, Viennese sandwiches, sweet crêpes, and pretzels, complemented by homemade vegan cakes, artisanal ice cream, and candy. Earplugs are available at the reception desk.

A festival born by the water

It was in 2021 that La Moucherie Production launched the first Demi Lune Festival at the Étangs Demi-Lune (Halbmond) in Kolbsheim, a small village located about ten kilometers west of Strasbourg. The concept is simple and radical: to offer a music festival in the open air, on a 1.5 hectare meadow by the water, far from the standardized formats of large events. The Demi-Lune 67 association was created to perpetuate the event, which relies on a team of passionate volunteers.

Two days, two atmospheres

The Demi Lune Festival's program unfolds over two days with distinct musical identities. Friday is dedicated to alternative styles: punk, metal, independent rock, and aggressive music, for a discerning audience seeking raw energy. On Saturday, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed with an eclectic and family-friendly program, mixing rock, pop, folk, and discoveries in an outdoor village festival atmosphere. Ten bands perform over the two days, offering a dense and varied lineup.

A return to roots

The Demi Lune Festival claims a return to the roots of the outdoor festival: outdoor games, indoor and outdoor bars, vegetarian catering, low-cost camping, and unbridled conviviality. The absence of massive sponsors and the modest size of the event allow for an intimate and authentic atmosphere, where festival-goers and artists mingle in a preserved natural setting. The site, bathed by the water of the ponds and bordered by greenery, invites disconnection and sharing.

A stone's throw from Strasbourg

Located just 12 kilometers from Strasbourg, Kolbsheim offers easy access from the Alsatian metropolis while providing a complete change of scenery. The Demi Lune Festival is part of a strong local cultural dynamic, alongside other village association events like the Vert le Futur festival, confirming Kolbsheim as an alternative cultural hub in the first ring of Strasbourg.
