The Great Egg Hunt in Brenne
Every year, on Easter weekend, the Château d'Azay-le-Ferron opens its magnificent 30-hectare park for a special day dedicated to families. The main event is the great egg hunt, which takes place continuously throughout the day in the remarkable castle gardens, offering children an exceptional playground to search for chocolate treasures.
Creative Workshops and Face Painting
In addition to the egg hunt, children can participate in numerous creative workshops organized from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 6 pm, without prior reservation. Face painting sessions are also offered at the same times, allowing each child to transform as they wish. These activities allow families to fully enjoy the day in a green and historic setting.
Shows and Guided Tours
The program includes a puppet show Guignol and the Easter Egg, presented at 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm, which delights the youngest. Guided tours with storytelling for children are offered at 3 pm and 4:30 pm, allowing them to discover the history of the castle in a fun and accessible way. An unusual tour On the Footsteps of a Servant is also offered at 6 pm by reservation.
A Renaissance Castle in the Heart of the Brenne
Owned by the city of Tours, the Château d'Azay-le-Ferron is a jewel of the Brenne heritage. Its gardens classified as Remarkable Gardens offer an idyllic setting for this Easter celebration. A visit to the castle can be combined with the park's activities thanks to special family ticket prices.
