Halloween celebration in the heart of the Château d'Azay-le-Ferron park
Every year at the end of October, the Château d'Azay-le-Ferron transforms to host its special Halloween day. Located in the heart of the Brenne Regional Natural Park, this Renaissance castle and its magnificent listed gardens offer an exceptional setting for celebrating Halloween with family.
The day offers a program full of surprises and thrills. Children can participate in a great candy hunt in the park throughout the day, get terrifying makeup (from 10 am, 2 euros), listen to scary stories, and watch an evil puppet show. Adults are not left out with special activities and a carefully prepared Halloween atmosphere.
The highlight of the day is the Great Pumpkin Contest. Each participant is invited to come with their most terrifying decorated pumpkin. Public voting takes place at 4 pm and the award ceremony at 5 pm. An appreciable advantage: each family that arrives with a decorated pumpkin receives a free adult entry.
The Château d'Azay-le-Ferron, owned by the city of Tours since 1951, is surrounded by a 30-hectare park including remarkable listed gardens. This Halloween day allows you to discover or rediscover this heritage in a festive and offbeat atmosphere, mixing history and entertainment for the whole family.
The Château d'Azay-le-Ferron celebrates Halloween on October 25, 2026. Candy hunt in the park, grand pumpkin contest, terrifying makeup, and activities for the whole family from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Château d'Azay-le-Ferron is located at 31-33 rue Hersent-Luzarche, 36290 Azay-le-Ferron, in the Brenne Regional Natural Park.
