The contemporary and alternative music festival in the heart of nature in Bailleul
The En Nord Beat Festival is a contemporary and alternative music festival born in 2017 in Bailleul, in the French Flanders region. Located in the heart of Parc Legrand Grubbe, a green setting typical of the flat country, the festival offers three days of concerts each year in June on four distinct stages: Tech, Hard, Bass, and Psy.
The En Nord Beat Festival is distinguished by its human scale and its friendly, relaxed, and warm atmosphere. Far from impersonal mega-festivals, it offers an authentic festival experience, combining quality music, encounters, and moments of sharing in the heart of nature. The atmosphere is described as festive, relaxed, and alternative.
Each edition brings together about fifty artists covering a wide musical spectrum: rock, reggae, dub, electro, world music, hip-hop, funk, ska, and alternative music. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as L'Entourloop, Oxmo Puccino, Danyl, Deluxe, Amadou & Mariam, and many emerging talents.
Rooted in the Flanders region, the En Nord Beat Festival is committed to local development and eco-responsibility. The festival favors short supply chains for catering, implements waste sorting and reduction systems, and encourages sustainable transportation.
The Parc Legrand Grubbe offers a green setting typical of Flanders, with its century-old trees and meadow areas. The festival takes advantage of this natural environment to offer a festival experience close to nature, far from concrete and urban hustle. The stages are set up to respect the natural setting of the park.
En Nord Beat plays an important role in the cultural dynamism of French Flanders, a rural area often overlooked by major festival circuits. The festival offers local residents quality musical programming without having to travel to Lille or major cities.
