The rock and contemporary music festival of Saint-Quentin
En Trans'Aisne is a contemporary music festival organized in Saint-Quentin, in the Aisne department, by the eponymous association founded in 2003. Inspired by the spirit of the Rencontres Trans Musicales de Rennes, the festival champions an eclectic program mixing rock, punk, metal, electro, and emerging artists. Since its first edition in 2007, En Trans'Aisne has been dedicated to discovering new talents and energizing the music scene in the north of Aisne, with accessible prices and a friendly one or two-day format.
Created in February 2003, the En Trans'Aisne association was born from the desire of a group of contemporary music enthusiasts to revitalize the cultural scene of Saint-Quentin and the Aisne department. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the Rencontres Trans Musicales de Rennes, the association's mission is to promote contemporary music in all its forms β rock, punk, metal, electro, hip-hop, and independent scene β by organizing concerts, festivals, and events throughout the year.
The En Trans'Aisne festival was launched in June 2007 with an ambitious two-day first edition. The concept was bold: to offer a contrasting double bill, with a rock and punk focus on Friday and a metal focus on Saturday. The lineup mixed local, national, and international bands, providing a showcase for the emerging scene in northern France while also inviting renowned groups like the Dutch band Born From Pain.
Among the artists of this inaugural edition were: Nevrotic Explosion (Breton punk rock), The Wild Spirits, Bunker Palace Hotel, Needles (Lille pop punk), DSK, Wild Karnivor, Aker, Forty'oz, Jamash Aya, and As It Falls. The festival attracted an enthusiastic audience and laid the groundwork for an anticipated event in the musical landscape of Aisne.
Saint-Quentin, a sub-prefecture of Aisne and the most populous city in the department, boasts a rich cultural scene with venues such as Le Splendid, the Palais de Fervaques, and, since 2018, La Manufacture, a venue dedicated to contemporary music. The En Trans'Aisne association is part of this ecosystem by offering complementary programming focused on discovery and alternative aesthetics.
Still active and listed in French festival directories, the association continues to support projects around contemporary music in Saint-Quentin. The festival champions values of accessibility, friendliness, and support for emerging creation, in a department where the rock and metal scene is particularly dynamic with events like the Rock'Aisne Festival, the Arsenal Rock Festival, and the Festival Berzyk.
The En Trans'Aisne association, founded in 2003 and based in Saint-Quentin, is still active. The festival remains listed in specialized directories (Route des Festivals, Infoconcert) with the mention "dates to be announced soon". The lineup and dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced.
The En Trans'Aisne festival takes place in Saint-Quentin (02100), in the Aisne department. Concert venues may vary depending on the edition (concert halls, cultural venues in the city).
