A unique open-air art exhibition
Every last Sunday of August, the Allée de Brou in Noyant-de-Touraine transforms into an open-air art gallery. Lined with centenary trees, this majestic avenue offers an exceptional natural setting where art and nature harmoniously combine. For over twenty years, the association Les Chevalets de Courtineau has been organizing this event, which has become a must-see in the cultural landscape of Touraine.
About forty artists and artisans
Each year, the exhibition brings together around forty artists and artisans specializing in multiple disciplines:
- Painting: oil, watercolor, acrylic, abstract and figurative art
- Sculpture: stone, wood, metal, terracotta
- Ceramics and pottery: stoneware, earthenware, porcelain, utilitarian and decorative pieces
- Artistic ironwork: creations in wrought iron and metal
- Photography: art prints and digital creations
- Visual arts: mixed media and installations
Visitors can wander freely between the stands set up under the foliage, chat with the creators, and purchase original works directly from the artists.
A jury and prizes to reward talent
One of the day's highlights is the visit of a jury that evaluates the exhibited works and awards prizes to the best creations. This distinction highlights the artists' work and encourages artistic creation in the region. The winners receive awards during a friendly ceremony that punctuates the afternoon.
A rustic setting between Chinon and Tours
The Allée de Brou is a remarkable site in Noyant-de-Touraine, located in the south of Indre-et-Loire. This peaceful village, nestled between the Manse and Vienne valleys, offers a preserved rural environment particularly conducive to artistic inspiration. The exhibition runs from 10 am to 7 pm, allowing visitors to fully enjoy this day combining artistic discovery and a bucolic stroll under the centenary trees.
