About Fermenterre

Every year, Fermenterre brings together producers, artisans, chefs, and food enthusiasts in Cormery, Touraine, to celebrate the art of fermentation and living foods. Launched in 2023 by the Association Tiers-Lieu Sud Touraine, the festival was originally held in Sennevières before moving to its current home in Cormery. This one-day event features a market of fermented goods, hands-on workshops, and demonstrations, bridging ancient traditions—such as sourdough bread, kimchi, miso, kombucha, and farmhouse beers and ciders—with a family-friendly audience eager to taste and learn.

  • 10 am - 6 pm — Producers' and fermentation artisans' market
  • 10 am - 6 pm — Hands-on workshops and demonstrations: kimchi, sourdough, miso, lacto-fermentation, kombucha
  • 10 am - 6 pm — Talks and panel discussions on nutrition, agriculture, and sustainable food
  • 10 am - 6 pm — Food and fermented drinks bar, entertainment, and ferment swapping
