Festi'Brio: Music comes to Brières-les-Scellés

In the small village of Brières-les-Scellés, in the heart of the Essonne Gâtinais, the musical tradition is old. The Festi'Brio festival is the direct heir to the BrioFolies, a festival that animated the commune since the late 2010s. After a few years of pause linked to organizational difficulties and health restrictions, a new team of passionate volunteers decided to relaunch the event in 2025 under a new name, with new momentum and a new program.

A rebirth fueled by energy

The first edition of Festi'Brio on May 24, 2025 lived up to all expectations. In the Parc de Brières-les-Scellés, on the Chemin des Hauts Grenots, several hundred festival-goers gathered for a day of outdoor music. The program, put together by a team of local volunteers, mixed bands from the regional scene and emerging artists: Mikael & Niza, Groove&co, Bonne Idée Tribute, Hopfield, and Kings Of Nawak performed one after another on stage for a festive and lively day.

A festival rooted in rural Essonne

Festi'Brio is a rural festival in the best sense of the word: organized by and for the inhabitants of a territory, with the support of the town hall and local associations, in a preserved natural space. The municipal park of Brières-les-Scellés offers an ideal setting for an outdoor festival: spacious lawns, century-old trees, and a bucolic atmosphere that contrasts pleasantly with urban concert halls. This rural and popular identity is one of Festi'Brio's strengths.

An eclectic and accessible program

Festi'Brio's program is not limited to a single musical style. Rock, pop, funk, soul, covers of hits: anything goes as long as the music makes you move and the artists transmit their energy to the audience. The presence of tribute bands in the program reflects a desire to offer moments of musical recognition to festival-goers, to make them sing and dance to music they know and love, while also introducing them to original artists from the local and regional scene.

Volunteering and local commitment

Like all events of this type, Festi'Brio relies entirely on volunteering. Dozens of villagers and residents from neighboring towns give their time and energy to make the festival happen. Logistics, catering, security, sound, communication: every aspect is handled by passionate volunteers. It is this human and collective dimension that gives the festival its special flavor and explains the local public's attachment to this event.

A tradition to perpetuate

With its first successful edition in 2025, Festi'Brio has demonstrated that there is a real demand for an accessible and friendly outdoor festival in the south of Essonne. The 2nd edition planned for May 30, 2026 continues this momentum, with the aim of expanding the program, inviting new artists, and welcoming even more festival-goers to this beautiful park in Essonne.
