Festi'Sorèze is the big summer festival of Sorèze, a charming village in the Tarn region located at the gateway to the Montagne Noire, between Castres and Revel. Organized every year by the Sorèze Festival Committee, this event brings together locals and vacationers for four days in early August in a festive, friendly, and family atmosphere at the Parking du Berniquaut, a large outdoor space in the heart of the village.
Festi'Sorèze is primarily a musical celebration. Each evening, concerts of French and international variety music liven up the main stage, followed by popular dances that get young and old dancing until the early hours. The lineups mix local and regional artists, covering a wide musical spectrum: timeless French songs, international variety, music from the 70s-80s-90s, and dance vibes for the evening balls. The atmosphere is good-natured, open to all, and deeply rooted in the tradition of village festivals in the Southwest.
During the day, Festi'Sorèze offers pétanque tournaments open to locals and visitors, a must-have tradition for Tarn festivals. Family activities punctuate the afternoons: children's games, sports activities, inflatable structures, street performances. This daytime festive aspect makes Festi'Sorèze an event where families can enjoy the program throughout the festival, in a friendly and safe environment.
An unmissable highlight of Festi'Sorèze, the fireworks display lights up the Sorèze sky every year in an explosion of colors and music. This moment of collective magic, which brings together hundreds of spectators from neighboring towns, brings one of the festival evenings to a spectacular close. The Festi'Sorèze fireworks are an eagerly awaited event for the entire population of the Pays de Cocagne and the Montagne Noire.
